    About Pmoney

“One of the most promising of the current generation of grime emcees”

“Re-shaping the soundscape of a new underground, P Money’s lyrical swagger is injecting life into grime and dubstep…”

P Money is a 23-year-old artist from south east London, originally known for being one of the top underground grime musicians. He is currently playing a major part as a front face for the grime collective OGs and has built a name for himself in the dubstep scene with tunes such as Sweet Shop and Slang Like This to name a few.

Starting out with a number of releases and promotional CD’s including Coins2Notes and P Money Is Power and major attention from KISS FM’s Logan Sama, P Money began his journey into grime, imprinting his road famous tune “What Did He Say” onto t-shirts and building up a healthy portfolio of freestyles.

As his fan base grew and people became more aware of his lyrical talent P Money disappeared to work with some of the top producers in the dubstep and grime scene and came back to the stores with this 2009 mixtape “Money Over Everyone”. This mixtape led him receive multiple nominations at the OMA’s (Official Mixtape Awards) which he walked away from with ‘The Best Grime Mixtape’ award and ‘Best Mixtape of 2009′.

With support from various artists in the scene, a recent co-sign from rapper J.Cole and support from publications including, The Metro Newspaper, The Sun, Time Out, MixMag, RWD Magazine, KIX Magazine, LIVE Magazine, Bbarack Magazine, Red Bull (Daily Note) and Musicology Magazine to name a few, and performances at major events such as Glastonbury and Outlook Festival P Money’s future was looking bright.

As if music wasn’t keeping him busy enough P Money began supporting global and social injustice movement Ctrl.Alt.Shift in 2009 and the Rave4Haiti supported by True Tiger and SOMEnite early last year. He has also worked on the SAMM (Support After Murder and Manslaughter) campaign, vocalling the remix of the debut single of The Shooting Star Poets from Liverpool.

With “Money Over Everyone” still circulating and available for download on all major online stores his career could not be healthier and is only looking up. Slang Like This, which he featured on for the upcoming True Tiger album signed to Virgin Records in 2010 and received an overwhelming response on radio from the likes of MistaJam, Logan sama, Tim Westwood, Dj Cameo, Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw and Nihal and was proudly the first ever dubstep/grime tune to receive daytime airplay on Radio 1. Following Slang Like This P Money featured on the DJ Swerve and Marco Del Horno track “HO” which also received the above support and videos circulating on Flava TV, AKA and Virgin.

This 2011 P Money is set to wow stages at Outlook Festival, Glastonbury, Camden Crawl and Lovebox with music from his upcoming CD with fellow OG Blacks, (release date June 6th) and work on multiple videos to accompany his upcoming debut album.
